Fangyuan Lighthouse is the landmark of Wanggong. Just drive along the coastal route of Tai-Route 17, you can see the lighthouse far away. Fangyuan Lighthouse is octagonal in shape, with the height of 37.4m. It is the tallest lighthouse in Taiwan. Its light is 28000 watts, beaconing every 5 second. It guards over the boats sailing at night. Different from other lighthouses, which are usually white in color, it is painted into black and white stripes. No wonder it is renowned as the “youngest lighthouse in Taiwan.” Its black and white stripes appearance has already earned it “The lighthouse with the most unique features in Taiwan.”

Wangong is located at the western side of Taiwan and it is the only fishing port in Changhua. The total length of the port is about 336 feet with 20 power boat and over 200 plastic rafts. The inner port easily built up silts and causes fishing boats need to wait until high tide to be able to departure. The silts cause many larger fishing boats move to another port and the usage of this fishing port becomes much less than before. Today, plastic rafts by the port are for oyster owners to transport their oyster to other places.

Lugang Tianhou Temple is the one of the three major historic sites in Lugang. It lies on Zhongshan Road, Lugang. In the Ching Dynasty, General Shi Lang built the first temple of Goddess of Sea in Taiwan. The statue in the alter was imported from Meizhou, China. There are over 1 million worshipers coming here every year. With the smoke of the incense, the statues face has turned black, so the Goddess is also called black-faced Goddess. Lugang Tianhou Temple is sublime and solemn and has elegant murals and paintings. In front of the temple is the dragon pond in a small garden. In the back of the temple, there is a culture museum of Goddess of Sea, introducing the history the Goddess and the role of the Goddess in the society. The historic materials preserved here are valuable, such as the board inscribed by a Ching emperor and officials, photos of the Meizhou Temple, and so forth. One of the oldest temples in Taiwan to Mazu, the temple you see today is the result of a renovation in 1936, a Taoist divinity venerated as Goddess of the Sea and Empress of Heaven, is situated at Lugang. Mazu's birthday is March 23rd of the lunar year.

An impressive statue of the Buddha sits on a hillside park overlooking the small city of Changhua, roughly 18 kilometers southwest of Taichung. Visitors can view the nearby area through the eyes of the 86-foot-high hollow statue.

Changhua Roundhouse is established in 1922 and it is the only one that is left in Taiwan. The housing stores three types of locomotives - steam, diesel and electric. The spreading rail tracks around the roundhouse looks like an open fan which was also name “Fan-Shaped Roundhouse”. After a long journey each train will head back to the garage for regular maintenance and repair which also called “The Hotel of Locomotive”.

"Brand’s Essence was originally from the early 19th century. Mr. H. W. Brand was the royal chef in Buckingham Palace and he was the one who cook the chicken soup that recover King George IV’s health. In 1835 Mr. H.W. Brand retired and begin to create his own chicken soup brand which is today’s well known Brand’s Essence. In November 2003, Brand’s Essences established the museum in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park for its first museum of health. From April to May 2008 Brand’s Essence spent 20 million NTD to renovate all of the equipments in the museum with the most updated technology. After the museum has installed all the latest equipment it will help visitors to easily understand the concept of modern health. There are 5 main exhibits – History Zone, Brand Name Zone, Health Community, Comprehensive Healthcare Station and Aerial Corridor- Factory Tour. If visitor is interesting in Brand’s history then head to the Film Briefing Room and start enjoy the film with a cup of chicken essence. Another place to check out is Brand Name Zone that includes the breeding process of chicken and how essence was produce. Lukang Town is one of Taiwan’s oldest towns with well-preserved cultural and historical heritages. Lukang Old Street is filled by traditional Taiwanese style houses and it is still in used by the local residents to run business. The locals built roof top to prevent the dust wind that was drawn by the ocean wind, so Lukang Old Street is also known as “The Street with No Sky”.

Lugang is one of the important historical towns in Taiwan. It is the town for well preserved historical cites, old houses, old temples and fork arts. Longshan Temple is called the Forbidden City in Taiwan. It is the best among the 8 great scenes of Lugang. Longshan Temple in Lugang was originally a small temple in Lugang. Later it was remodeled by local residents to be the current larger scale. The temple was beautifully designed. It is seated facing the west with the back to the east. The layout is square. The main building consists of four strata and three gardens. The format and design are inspired by Longshan Temple in Quanzhou (Chuanchow) of Taiwan. In the old days, there were 99 doors. The carving is magnificent in terms of the structure and the ornament. There is fine colorful painting. It has the reputation of being the Treasure of Chinese Architectural Art. The buildings are worthy of detailed observation. At the front gate, there is a pair of dragon poles made of granite. There are the ascending dragon and the descending dragon corresponding to each other. The design is simple and powerful and they are excellent art works. At the end of front hall, there is a theater stage for traditional plays at festivals. There is an octagon well within the theater stage. Its colorful painting and the good technique reflect superb art works. In the past, the houses around Longshan Temple could not be higher than the temple. The buildings in Longshan Temple are getting higher and higher. It means ascending. There are many historical artifacts in the temple. For an example, there is an old bell from Ching Dynasty. It was made in Ninpo of Chekiang Province in China. It is the largest bronze bell in Taiwan. There is also a Guanshiyin Budda made of copper. The complexity of Longshan Temple in Lugang is amazing and the buildings in the temple are marvelous and rarely seen in Taiwan.
